Flavia Matei has been the driving force in setting up a teaching module on regenerative building materials, including mycelium, for the Arch.Masters program at the BASEhabitat studio of the University of Arts Linz. She has been organizing hands-on workshops and has supervised outstanding design projects focusing on social and sustainable architecture, such as Botswana Housing (Botswana 2019), Little John’s wird groß! (Romania 2020), Into the Garden (Austria, 2021), Botswana: Housing for a Changing Planet (Botswana, 2022).
